Rural Entertaining Garden, Forest of Dean

Set in a stunning woodland location, this property elicited a suitably bold and contemporary landscape design response which blended seamlessly with the surrounding rural landscape.

A large entertaining area immediately outside the house provides space for; dining under a rustic pergola, paved seating area with outdoor kitchen, a decked area surrounding a wood fired hot tub and a sunken fire pit seating area. 

An outbuilding with green roof provides a secondary seating area out in the garden. A gravel path leads to a large kitchen garden. The kitchen garden includes a greenhouse with cold frame and a number of raised beds made from Corten Steel. A woven willow fence surrounds the kitchen garden with arches and gates for access.

Locally sourced hard landscaping materials will provide a unifying feature in the garden, this will include; Forest Pennant Sandstone paving, Forest of Dean Gravel, Forest Pennant walling stone, stone pitchers/ cobbles and large feature Forest Pennant rocks.
